The complete devotion of others

Was always a necessity to you

As if they were a cult and you their religion

They followed the commandments you set for them

They participated in rituals at your leisure

Countless accounts of sacrifice just to please you

You kept these worshipping souls around

Who were so willing to drop everything and follow you

You did not promise them gold, riches or immortality

You promised them a seat at the throne next to you,

Knowing it was already taken ---

I am not here to worship your reign

I did not come here to rule beside you

I came here to dismantle your temple

And destroy your pyramids

Make those who follow you question their faith

As well as make you question your power

There is a new order,

And it will raise havoc in your kingdom

I am the Trojan horse you so mistakenly let inside your walls

I am here to make you build statues worshiping me,

Only to leave you to tear them down when I leave.
